We let the kids shine with Welborn’s kids’ Hula-Hoop contest during the band’s only break at 7:45 in front of the patio stage. Then, don’t miss the Kroger Water Balloon toss. It’s wet. Four contestants lose. The crowd wins! It begins at 7:50 and will end about five balloon bursts later. Then we’ll all join in our “Toast to the Sunset” as it dips into the Ohio, just in time to bring the night to life. Thanks to our season-long street fair sponsor, Kroger!
Owensboro is known for its many festivals. We celebrate apples, BBQ, bluegrass, Daylilies, bourbon and airplanes. But Friday After 5 celebrates Friday. It’s our favorite day and for sixteen Fridays in a row we throw a party each summer. It’s so big; it’s so fun; it’s so family friendly (plus the fact it’s free) helped earn us the honor of being named “Platinum Award Winning Community Event/Attraction”. See what all the excitement is all about. We’ll be waiting for you!
