“Jerry on the Moon”! Everyone loves to hear a band the just “gets down”. Northwest Georgia-based band Jerry on the Moon includes the sound of The Band, Stevie Wonder, and the Talking Heads with their own unique style of music, to create a contemporary sound that is timeless. Weaving personal stories into their songwriting, JOTM brings audiences to the banks of Rome’s three rivers with lyrics crafted from their personal journals, giving listeners a peak into the window of who they really are. Jedd Lovel (drums), Jack Moss (guitar), Steven Powers (bass), and Adam Klingensmith (guitar) are the nucleus of the group, and now JOTM is proud to introduce their newest mates John Pollard (sax) and Anthony Avitollo (trombone). All six gentlemen come together and light up a stage with their enthusiasm for music and performance. Jerry on the Moon has shared the stage with well-respected musicians who include, but are not limited to: Atlanta Rhythm Section, Dopapod, Tauk, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, Copious Jones, Strung Like a Horse, Flow Tribe and CBDB. They were also frequently booked at Brother’s Bar in Jacksonville, Ala., where greats like Greg Allman and Zac Brown graced the stage. One of the many amenities of the performance area in Smothers Park is the Don Moore “Party Pier” stage. It’s a perfect venue for enjoying live entertainment with a breathtaking backdrop. The stage area overlooks both the Ohio River near the waterfall feature and the Signature Fountain, designed by the same people who created the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas. Don Moore Automotive team sponsors the entire season! Their newest cars will be on display, too! Great entertainment from 7:00pm to 11:00pm and just like Friday After 5, it’s free.

Tonight’s special guest is “Dora the Explorer & Diego” courtesy of TDs Tuff Decisions Costumes.
