When the “Hart Strings” formed in Georgetown, Indiana in 2012, it was for the sole purpose of playing live. Watching The Avett Brothers, Mumford and Sons, Old Crow Medicine Show and countless others play high energy shows with roots music and traditional instruments made the Heart Strings verticalroad not only exciting, but accessible. With banjo, guitar, violin, and kick drum leading the way, playing out didn’t seem so far-fetched. Nearing the end of high school, the band put out an EP to sell at the few local shows they could play. Then the début came, and “Good Conversation” became something to tour with.  The band toured the southeastern United States in the summer of 2014 after their first year in college, again in Summer 2014 FA5 June 27 Jimmy Church 1942015, and again that fall. Since its inception, The Hart Strings have played over 200 shows spanning from Asbury Park to Columbus to Atlanta.  Tonight they bring their bright sound right here to the Atmos Energy Courtyard.  Come early and visit the International Bluegrass Museum virtually right next door.  The museum is open until 8:00pm tonight.  You have a front row seat for free thanks to our season-long sponsor, Atmos Energy!  Twenty years ago, Atmos Energy helped to create the Courtyard at the RiverPark Center by being a special contributor.
