Our newest partner, BNI (Business Network International) presents “The Springs!” CMA’s Fest 2014 Up & Coming Artists, “The Springs” sets the weekend to music! This is your chance to see Nashville’s number one ranked young duo on the main music site ReverbNation, up close and in person. Both members of this amazing group are originally from Alabama. Now being Nashville recording artists, they met while performing at the world-famous Bluebird Café in Nashville Tennessee. Male vocalists Stewart had won a Paramount “Star Search” competition at the age of 16, while the female singer of the duo, Holly, had made it to the third round of the preliminaries of NBC’s “The Voice” TV show. The Springs performances are a cross between Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood, offering something for everyone making for a sing-a-long crowd pleasing good time on the Jagoe Homes patio stage. This amazing duo performed their high energy country/southern rock shows with acts Hunter Hayes, Eric Church, Florida-Georgia Line, Jake Owen, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Reba, and many other top artists. In a recent feature article in the Nashville Music Guide said: it “There Has Never Been A Duo This Good, This Young In Country Music”, ever! Business Networking International is our special sponsor for tonight’s show as we are celebrating “Business Networking” with the help of our Chamber Young Professionals tonight Fun. Free. Friends. Friday After 5 is Where the Weekend Begins!” 6:30pm-10:00pm

Let the party begin! It’s our newest venue and the Don Moore Auto Team brings the party to the Pier tonight with “Fat Box”. Back as one of the most requested bands, “Fat Box” sets out to write original songs with no parameters – heavy on the funk and soul, of course, but also incorporating bits of bluegrass, jazz, reggae, rock and more. The results of this strange musical brew can be heard on 2014’s excellent (and amusingly titled) Meteor A’ight, a veritable education in genre-hopping – or genre-mashing, rather. From one song to the next, the influences of six like-minded yet free-thinking musicians reveal themselves. Fat Box will set our on-going “Summer of Love” to music. It’s a party. It’s on a Pier! The stage area overlooks both the Ohio River within easy walking distance of the new waterfall feature and the Signature Fountain, designed by the same people who created the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas. Don Moore Automotive team sponsors the entire season where we host a free summer party every Friday! Thanks to you, the entertainment is Hot Don…and just like Friday After 5, it’s fun and free. 8pm-11:30pm
Our newest venue brings the newest talent to the party! Tonight we’ll provide a perfect venue for Owensboro’s youngest, newest talent, Alexis Hall and Addison Hamilton. The Cromwell Radio “New Sound Stage” overlooks the beautiful Ohio River but ensures that no one overlooks future talented performers. We’ve featured more than 600 performers in our 21 year history and many of the big bands and their members got their first start right here at Friday After 5. This year we’ve teamed up with Cromwell Radio to present great new talent on their own stage. It’s a beautiful backdrop and you have free front-row seats for all of the entertainment. Join us tonight and every Friday and discover tomorrow’s talent at the New Sound Overlook. Live entertainment begins at 7pm.
Owensboro is a city of festivals including “International BBQ Festival”, “Big O Music Festival”, “ROMP Bluegrass Festival”, “Bourbon, Blues and Brew Festival”, “Multi-Cultural Festival”, “Apple Festival”, “Balloons over Garden”, “Daylillies Festival” and many others.
